Our local community is full of people who want to help. We connect students, clubs at the University of Maryland, food service organizations throughout College Park, and urban growers in the community to streamline collaboration and to achieve that which would be impossible to do alone.
F.E.E.D. College Park is currently working with the maryPIRG Zero Hunger Campaign and Campus Community Connections to present interactive art work educating viewers on the food insecurity experience in College Park.
Works are to debut online in Fall 2021. Bookmark this page and check back here later for more info!
In the College Park food equity community, there are lots of organizations helping those in need. We keep in contact with service groups at the University of Maryland, with the food providers in College Park, and with the advocacy groups in the county to link similar projects and minimize work overlap. By working together we strategize more efficiently, provide better aid, and make a larger impact. We collaborate with our partners on service projects, educational events, and research; if your organization is interested in getting connected in the food equity sector, contact us!
